GOVERNOR DANIEL THRILLS BY OGUN MASTER PLAN PROGRESS REPORT

Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has revealed that his greatest achievement is the regional Development Plan that his administration has been able to reel out for the immediate and future development of the State. Governor Daniel while addressing the governors Forum Peer Review Team said his Government has put in place measure that will put an end to the perennial water shortage in the State. He said the State has moved from a State with three Housing Estates to about fifty while job security has adequately taken care of the challenges of Mortgage to the Workforce.

SHORT MEDIUM TERM PROJECTS TO BE COMPLETED SOON
Ogun State Governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel says his administration is winding up its medium term projects and is now focusing on the long term ones. Governor Daniel revealed that one point eight Billion Naira was expended on Sagamu Siun road; one point Six Billion Naira on Gateway International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, the new Secretariat at Oke Mosan gulped two point five billion Naira while six hundred and forty two million Naira was spent on modernization of Olumo Rock. Ogun State is of heterogeneous Society. The State itself is one of the few States that has not been splited into two since its creation about 35 years ago.

Having conclude the short term projects in the first two years of his tenure Governor Daniel said administration is rounding off the medium term projects and now focusing on long term projects which include the Airport the Deep Sea port and the Laogo paradise Island. According to Governor Daniel most of the projects are paid for in piece meal, Governor Daniel said the maximum amount he can approve is N25 million for projects and never in the history of his administration had He issued a N500 million cheque to any contractor. Governor Daniel recalls how various government agencies have transformed Ogun State with speed for the Gateway Games.
