GOVERNOR’S FORUM DELEGATION COMBS OGUN, EXPRESSES DELIGHT

A delegation of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum arrived Abeokuta the State Capital for six-day peer review tour of the State. The team during the tour is expected to visit, Inspect and assess projects executed by the State Government. On arrival, the delegation from the Secretariat of the Nigerian Government Forum led by its Director General Asishama Bayo Okauru set to work by listening to presentations from the Economic Sector of the Ogun State Government. Intimating the gathering with the mission of the Team in the State, the Director General says the Peer Review Tour is not a political trip but a technical one. Receiving the delegation to Ogun State the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Adegbemi Onakoya points out that the present administration is running a Government of equity and has a lot to showcase in terms of people oriented and development projects.

Opening presentations on economic potentials of Ogun State, the Economic Adviser to the State Government, explains that projects are based on the need to achieve financial stability engender private sector-led development and put more people in employment among others. Finance Commissioner, Kehinde Sogunle and Internal Revenue Service, Chairman Olumide Olukoya let the visiting Team into economic development activities in various sectors of the State and Internally Generated Revenue as well as profile and challenges of the State. Commissioners for Commerce and Industry, Community Development and Cooperatives and that of Forestry in Ogun State also briefed the Governors’ Forum delegation. Ogun State is the 20th State to be visited by the Team.
