OGUN ADJUDGES AS BEST IN FADAMA PROJECT

In supporting agriculture and reduction poverty level in rural areas, Ogun State has been adjudged one of the best in execution of Fadama Project in the country. Indira Konjnodeic from the World Bank Washington U.S.A. stated this while on Project Inspection of Fadama Projects in Eriti Community in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the State.No farmer no food, no life, with this philosophy, it is therefore necessary to boost agriculture both in the rural and urban areas of any given society. World Bank has been assisting in executing various Projects across Nations, one of which is the National Fadama Development project that deals with agricultural sector of the economy.

In assessing the Projects, Indira Knnjnodeic of the Country Management Unit, World Bank expressed satisfaction with the level of work done and assures of further assistance from the World Bank in the area of fund. Committed to the development of agriculture the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon., and Tunji Akinosi adds that the government will support the project in alleviating poverty in rural areas. To the National and State Project Coordinators, it is an avenue to discuss on ways to improve on Fadama 11 that has just ended.Ifeparapo Eriti Fadama Community Association in Obafemi Owode Local Government, as one of FCAs in Ogun State was inspected by the delegate from the World Bank.
