In its bid to re-invigorate the Civil
Service for optimal productivity, a new Permanent Secretary,
Engineer Muse Adisa Oni has been sworn-in by Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Similarly, some permanent secretaries were re-deplored in a move
aimed at repositioning the civil service for efficiency. Engr. Muse
Adisa Oni, a Civil Engineer by training is being Sworn-in as the
37th Permanent Secretary who is to oversee the Ministry of Works
which became vacant following the retirement of Engr. Adewunmi Tade.
Otunba Gbenga Daniel who performed the Swearing- in explained to the
new Permanent Secretary to quickly settle down and team up in order
to play his role in fulfilling the Agenda for A Secured Future. He
said the task before all and sundry pre-supposes that all
Stakeholders must be conscious of the high Public expectations of
making Ogun State the pride of the people. Otunba Gbenga Daniel
seized the opportunity to commend the existing cordial relationship
between Political Officer and the Top Echelon of the Civil Service
and stressed the need to continually build on the progress made so
far.
Meanwhile, Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu –Ode
has won the Award as the best University in Africa.
The University emerged top after being adjudged the best in four
criteria which include curricular, relationship between Staff and
Students as ell as having assets worth of N1billion within one and
half years. Vice Chancellor of the Institution; Prof. Kayode Oyesiku
who was in Ghana o receive the Award on behalf of the State
attributed the feat to Otunba Gbenga Daniel vision to have the 1st
University of Education in Nigeria. The University, he disclosed has
been inducted into the Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Hall of fame for
pioneering a revolution in the Continent’s Education Sector. |
